I like to say that I was abandoned by wolves and raised by bartenders. It's not very informative, but it makes people laugh.

Me? I'm a budding academic (finishing up a Master's thesis) who has a fascination with medieval England, modern fandom, and most points in between. I write a lot of fanfiction, ramble at length about comic books, and just generally make a goofy fangirl of myself all over the place.

Fanfiction, general fannish rambling, random observations and so forth are posted publicly; anything that smacks of personal info is kept under friendslock. If you like my public entries, feel free to follow along! My comments-screened FO entry is here; I tend to only reciprocate friending with people I know IRL or people I've grown to know well through long interaction in communities -- but I promise I'll be nice about it either way, so don't be afraid to ask. Just please don't be offended if I turn you down.

Fighting or namecalling in my journal is a good way to get yourself booted. My friendsbase runs the gamut of beliefs both personally and politically, so you don't have to like or agree with everyone (or with me) -- but you do have to be respectful, act the grownup, and pick your fights somewhere besides my space.
